Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CAP-BUCKS CAPITAL TRADERS(“we”, “us”, “our”), the entity operating Apex.Journal, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use apexjournal.in (the “Service”). We are committed to keeping your trading data private and secure.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, and authentication details when you sign up.
Trade data:trades you import via a connected broker (e.g. Zerodha), upload via CSV, or enter manually — including symbols, quantities, prices, timestamps and P&L.
Journal & emotional data: notes, ratings, and reflections you record against your trades.
Usage data: basic technical information such as device/browser type and interactions, used to operate and improve the Service.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to: provide and maintain the Service; generate analytics and AI coaching reports; process payments; communicate with you about your account; and improve and secure the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI processing of your trade data

When you request an AI coaching report, relevant trade, journal, and emotional data is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to generate the report. This processing happens only to produce your report. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information (such as government IDs or bank details) into journal fields, as these are not required by the Service.

4. Third parties we share data with

We share data only with service providers necessary to run Apex.Journal: Supabase(database & authentication), Razorpay (payment processing), Zerodha Kite Connect (broker sync, when you connect it), Anthropic (AI coaching), and Resend (transactional email). Each processes data under its own terms. We do not share your data with advertisers.

5. Broker connections

When you connect a broker, we store an access token used to import your trades. We never receive or store your broker password. You can disconnect a broker at any time from your account, which deactivates the token.

6. Data security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use Supabase with row-level security so your records are accessible only to you. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email hello@apexjournal.in. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
